     New Plant-Based Food

Impossible Foods announced Impossible Hot Dogs will be the brand’s latest new meat-from-plants innovation product coming to restaurants and grocery stores soon.

The juicy, savory links offer a similar cooking and sensory experience to traditional animal beef hot dogs, but are made with high-quality ingredients derived from plants.

The company says that these hot dogs are not made with added or synthetic nitrates or nitrites like some hot dogs made from animals, although they do contain natural nitrates and nitrites from cultured celery powder.

  • Giants Fall To Rams, 26-25

    Giants Fall To Rams, 26-25

Tyrod Taylor has thrown some unbelievable deep passes the past two weeks, including Sunday afternoon against the Rams.

But the easiest throw he may ever have as a pro — well, that may have very well cost the Giants an upset victory.

A stunning 94-yard punt return for a touchdown by Gunner Olszewski pulled the Giants within striking distance and, after a penalty on the point-after kick by the Rams, Brian Daboll decided to go for the lead.

The Giants had a perfect play call, too, and Saquon Barkley raced through a crowd at the line of scrimmage and broke open with no one in front of him at the goal line. But Taylor misfired badly, throwing behind Barkley as the conversion failed, leaving the Giants’ quarterback despondent and MetLife Stadium in disbelief yet again.

Final score: Rams 26, Giants 25.

The Giants (5-11) have now had remarkable upset bids fall short against a pair of playoff teams in a span of six days. They had a chance to beat the Eagles in Philadelphia on Christmas Day, but Taylor’s final heave into the end zone was intercepted.

Browns Top Jets, Clinch Playoff Spot

Another big game for Joe Flacco was another big night for the Cleveland Browns.

Flacco threw for 309 yards with three touchdowns and a single interception Thursday in a 37-20 Cleveland win over the New York Jets.

The win was the fourth straight for the Browns, who improved 4-1 with Flacco at quarterback. They improved to 11-5 to secure their spot in the postseason.

In a game that featured two of the top defenses in the league, the offenses exploded for 51 points in the first half. Both clubs put together quick opening-drive touchdowns, but it was the Browns that kept up a more prolific scoring pace.

Things did cool down in the second half as neither team was able to add to their total in the third quarter and managed just a field goal apiece in the fourth.

Flacco finished his night 19 of 29, while Jets QB Trevor Siemian was 32 of 45 for 262 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

    Will The Rock Wrestle Again?

A Rock vs Roman Reigns match has been a topic of discussion and anticipation, especially in the context of WrestleMania 40.

Previously, there were rumors about The Rock facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. However, this did not materialize, and fans saw The Tribal Chief compete against Cody Rhodes.

During a recent segment on The Pat McAfee Show, Dwayne Johnson, popularly known as The Rock, shed light on the situation. He mentioned that a match with Roman Reigns could happen.

While no official confirmation exists, Johnson’s comments hint at the possibility of the much-anticipated match taking place during WrestleMania 40. The potential match between The Rock and Roman Reigns remains a major topic of interest, and time will reveal if it becomes a reality.

  • Tommy DeVito Benched for Tyrod Taylor

Tommy DeVito Benched for Tyrod Taylor

After nearly letting a 17-point halftime lead slip away for good, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New York Giants 33-25. It was their 12th consecutive victory over the Giants and snapped a three-game losing streak. Now at 11-4, the win also keeps the Eagles as the favorite to win the NFC East.

The Eagles and their fans were hoping Monday’s game against the Giants would serve as a get-right game after dropping three straight.

While they did pull out a win, their performance cannot exactly be described as confidence-inspiring.

The Giants, meanwhile, fell to 5-10 and could once again be turning to a new starter at quarterback after Tommy DeVito was benched at halftime for backup Tyrod Taylor.

DeVito started six games this season in relief of injured starter Daniel Jones. He helped lead the Giants to three straight wins, including a Monday night upset of the Green Bay Packers in Week 14, developing a cult following in the process.

  • Jets Beat Commanders 30-28

    Jets Beat Commanders 30-28

On a cloudy and cool afternoon in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the New York Jets defeated the Washington Commanders, 30 – 28.

The first half saw the Commanders collapse under an avalanche of ineptitude as the Jets took a commanding 27 – 7 lead into the locker room.

Just when the Jets looked like they were going to put the final nail in the Commanders’ coffin, Trevor Siemian threw an interception. A few plays later QB Jacoby Brissett had the Commanders in the end zone and suddenly we had a football game with the score Jets 27, Commanders 14, as the momentum shifted to the Commanders.

Four minutes later the Commanders finished off another drive with a touchdown run and took a one point lead at 28 – 27. It was a stunning and humiliating turnaround, with the Jets vaunted defense unable to stop a mediocre Commanders offense.

Trevor Siemian drove the Jets just far enough for Greg Zuerlein to kick a game winning 54 yard field goal with five seconds left on the clock.

With the win the Jets bring their record to 6-9 on the season.

    Saints Over Giants 24-6

The New York Giants lost to the New Orleans Saints, 24-6, on Sunday. The loss broke the Giants three-game winning streak and left them with a 5-9 record. The Saints are 7-7.

One week after the Giants did not allow any sacks for the first time this season, quarterback Tommy DeVito was sacked seven times and hit on nine other dropbacks.

Leading 7-6 at the half, New Orleans scored 17 points on its first three possessions of the second half to stretch their lead to 24-6 early in the fourth quarter. The game was basically over at that point.

“Collectively just not good enough,” said head coach Brian Daboll. “Nothing was where it needed to be today. Just overall not good enough.”

DeVito said the Giants “didn’t play with enough swagger.”

    Honda Recalls Nearly 250K Vehicles

Honda issued a recall for 250,000 vehicles because of a manufacturing error that could damage the engine.

The recall covers the 2015-2020 Acura TLX, 2016-2020 Acura MDX, 2016 and 2018-2019 Pilot, 2017 and 2019 Ridgeline, and 2018-2019 Odyssey vehicles.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that “the connecting rod bearing in the engine may wear and seize, damaging the engine.”

This could cause the engine to stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.

Owners will be able to take their vehicle to a dealer, where technicians will inspect and repair the engine. If the engine is damaged beyond repair, they will replace it free of charge.
