Broncos Stun Giants 33-32 With Last-Second Field Goal

Wil Lutz kicked a 39-yard field goal as time expired, lifting the Denver Broncos to a thrilling 33-32 win Sunday over the stunned New York Giants, who took a shutout into the fourth quarter.

The Broncos (5-2) trailed 26-8 with just over 5 minutes remaining but scored on a 7-yard Bo Nix scamper, R.J. Harvey’s 2-yard catch, an 18-yard keeper by Nix and Lutz’s game-winner after Jaxson Dart seemingly broke the Broncos’ hearts with a 1-yard TD with 37 seconds left that gave New York a 32-30 lead.

Jude McAtamney missed his second extra point of the afternoon, however, and after Tyler Badie returned the kickoff 19 yards to the 23, Nix found Marvin Mims for 29 yards and Courtland Sutton for 22.

With no timeouts remaining, Nix and the offense raced to the line of scrimmage at the Giants 21 and spiked the ball with 2 seconds left.
The snap was high but Lutz nailed the field goal to secure Denver’s fourth consecutive win overall and NFL-best eighth straight at home.

Jets Fall Again, Lose to Panthers

In a game that saw the Jets and the Panthers play four quarterbacks, points were hard to come by on both sides as Carolina escaped MetLife Stadium with a 13-6 victory on Sunday. The Jets fell to 0-7 while the Panthers moved to 4-3 with their third consecutive win.
The Jets turned to backup QB Tyrod Taylor in the second half. With the Jets facing a 13-3 deficit, Taylor entered with 10:36 remaining in the third quarter. HC Aaron Glenn decided to make the QB change after Justin Fields went 6 of 12 in the first half for 46 yards and was sacked 3 times.

Backup Andy Dalton finished the game for the Panthers after Bryce Young exited with an ankle injury in the third quarter.
After the game, Glenn was non-committal on whom will start for the Jets next week in Cincinnati against the Bengals.

“I understand the nature of the quarterback change,” Glenn said. “We needed a spark. At that time, I felt like it was the right time to do it. Obviously, a tough situation for both of those guys. But it was my call and I felt like it was the right time to do it.”

Denver Broncos Beat Woeful New York Jets 13-11

The Denver Broncos won a defensive slugfest 13-11 in London on Sunday to leave the New York Jets as still the only winless team in the NFL.

Denver quarterback Bo Nix threw the only touchdown of the game at the end of the first quarter at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the team’s defense sacked Jets QB Justin Field nine times in an affair which lacked offensive firepower – the nine sacks on Fields was the same number as the amount of successful pass attempts he had during the whole game.

The Jets did attempt to make a late comeback but a sack on fourth down in the final two minutes cemented the continuation of New York’s winless start to the season, with head coach Aaron Glenn searching for his first win in the position.

New York now slips to 0-6 after another poor offensive outing – Fields had 45 passing yards while running back Breece Hall had 59 yards on the ground.

New York Giants Stun Philadelphia Eagles 34-17

Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart piloted the New York Giants to a 34-17 NFL victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, handing the reigning Super Bowl champions a second straight NFL defeat.

Dart, making his third NFL start after taking over from struggling veteran Russell Wilson, threw for one touchdown and ran for another and rookie running back Cam Skattebo rushed for 98 yards and three TDs as the Giants pulled away for just their second victory of the season in the NFC East division clash at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

The Eagles had been aiming to regroup after seeing their four-game winning streak to start the season end with a 27-17 loss to Denver on Sunday.

After a back and forth first half, Philadelphia turned the ball over twice as they failed to score after the break.

The Giants scored touchdowns on three of four possessions and gained 198 yards in the first half and Skattebo powered into the end zone early in the third.

Scottie Scheffler Wins PGA Championship

World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler won the 2025 PGA Championship, his second leg of the Grand Slam following two previous Masters Tournament victories.

Scheffler, 28, finished 17-under par, shooting 71 at even par during the final round, finishing five strokes ahead of Harris English, Bryson DeChambeau and Davis Riley. The three-time major champion entered the final round with a solo lead after shooting 11-under through the first three rounds and a 65 on Saturday.

Scheffler shot a 69 in round one, a 69 in round two, a 71 in round three and a 71 in round four during the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow.
Scheffler, who won gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics, is now two legs shy of completing the career Grand Slam, with the U.S. Open and The Open Championship remaining on his 2025 schedule. The 28-year-old had previously finished second at the U.S. Open in 2022 and seventh at The Open Championship in 2024.

Dak Prescott Throws Four TDs vs Jets

The New York Jets dropped to 0-5 with a 37-22 loss to the Dallas Cowboys at MetLife Stadium in a game that showcased all that was wrong with Aaron Glenn’s team.

Any notion of the New York Jets winning their first game of the season vanished in a matter of one minute Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium.

That’s because they allowed two Dallas Cowboys touchdowns in the final 57 seconds of the first half, burying themselves in too deep of a hole for any chance at a comeback.

Jets QB Justin Fields was sacked five times, Breece Hall fumbled away a key opportunity in the first half, and the Jets offense couldn’t convert on two fourth-and-1 plays, all adding up to a long afternoon in East Rutherford.
The Jets offense was held to six points until the fourth quarter, the offensive line gave up five sacks to a Cowboys defense that, up until then, had no pass rush through the opening month. 10 penalties crippled the Jets.
Justin Fields threw for 283 yards and two touchdowns while running for 26, and Breece Hall rushed for 113. Dak Prescott threw four touchdown passes to continue his MVP-like pace, and the Cowboys ran for 180 yards.

Saints Over Giants 26-14

The Giants jumped out to a double-digit lead in New Orleans but then turned the ball over on five consecutive possessions in a 26-14 loss to the Saints, who scored 23 unanswered points. The Giants fell to 1-4.

For a brief moment there, it sure looked like the New York Giants had turned a corner. Jaxson Dart, making his second start, had thrown two touchdown passes to establish an 11-point lead over New Orleans early in the second quarter.

But he Giants had turnovers in virtually every possible way — gift fumbles, bad-idea interceptions — and could only watch as the Saints ran up five straight scores and 23 straight points.
“Five turnovers to zero,” Giants head coach Brian Daboll said after the game, “you’re not going to win in this league.”

And just like that, the brief flash of hope that ran through the Giants organization flickered and went dark. Dart completed 26 of 40 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns, but two interceptions were part of the brutal, repeated misfires that cost the Giants the game.
